I was on a solo motorcycle day ride, and just in time to feed my hunger appeared Aunt Mabel's By The Way Cafe! I adore small independent restaurants, and was pleased with the whole place: the atmosphere, cleanliness, servers, cook, coffee, and I got the country fried steak stuffed omelette (the small version) which was as big as the plate and a side of rye toast! I was so glad that I stopped. My server (sorry I can't recall her name) was so kind and open to talk, and then I met Vera who was sitting in the booth across from mine with her son. She struck up a conversation about riding motorcycles in her younger years and was delighted to speak with me about what joy riding brought to her life. While that has nothing to do with the Cafe in particular, it added to my life an experience that keeps me believing in humanity, and of oourse the pleasure that comes from good eating! I plan on taking my hubby and friends there some Sunday.
Big portions, best prices, and great service. This is the number 1 place to go for breakfast. Worth the drive and never a long wait. I always get the omlets because they are so good. My girlfriend always gets the pancake which is so big that you could wear it as a hat.
This place is great, everything was made from scratch and the portion size are at least 2-3 meals.
This is a hidden gem with AMAZING waffles. I have never had a better waffle than the crisp yet fluffy perfection the was. The side of bacon was the perfect crisp and plentiful as well. This is NOT fast food but if you have time to sit and enjoy a meal - I highly recommend it.

Smalltown diner, which we love them. The food was good and you can definitely taste that it is home-cooked. The place was packed with young and old alike, with barely an open seat in the place. The wait was long, but they have a funny sign that says "I hope you like the company you're with because it's going to be a minute." Or something along those lines.
The best breakfast you will ever have. The service is always great too!
Nice quiet place to eat. It was fresh delicious food. We ate breakfast at 12:30 lol We was in and out in about a half hour.
